I have scoured this forum in hopes of some clarification as to how the Dodge Action works. I know it is one of the basic actions a character can attempt on his turn. What I am wanting clarification on is, if a successful Dodge is made does it negate a successful Attack roll from a monster? Does it matter who had initiative? Would it be a contested action? I know that each action after the first attempted has a -20 additional applied to it. This is the only question I have about how to run BBF. If this has been covered in a previous post I apologize for the repetition Any help would be appreciated.

Well I found my answer. I believe Dodge would act as a resistance check that if successful would negate the successful melee attack.
Good discussion here regarding combat, initiative and dodging, though it looks like you have found your answer already.
Resistance rolls really add alot tot he game. My players were fighting two very tough mosters with a high skill rating. The monsters could easily resist/dodge/parry incoming attacks. The players piled on the hurt to use up all monster's actions for the round then got some damaging attacks in. They one the initiative again the next round and did the same thing. Only one of them took some damage.
This was a great fight, the monsters were very scary and the players gave it their all. Do I mind than they didn't take much damage. Heck no. If they had held back, I think some of them would have been shredded.
My point here is, the resistance rolls add a lot of dynamics to the game. And has been pointed out many times in these forums, managing the multi-action penalty is key to good tactics. That even goes for managing the multi-action penalty of your enemies.
Hope you found this just a little bit useful. Have a great game!
