This progress update is brought to you by Mark Mizak:
I am currently editing a submission for a supplement for the Keranak Kingdoms. Am over half way through the preliminary editing, which is primarily for syntax, style, and grammer/typos. After that I will talk with Bill about how to best format the supplement, then send it back to the author for any additions from his end or changes we may want.
I am also “working” on the Beastiary. I put my contribution in quotes because truthfully I have done very little. We have a lead man on this (Ben Gorman) who is doing great work, communicating thoroughly with Bill, and I am keeping my hand in it with occasional comments. This is one of the projects that Larry Moore had been spearheading and neither Bill nor I were exactly sure where it stood. Happy to report it is much farther along than we had feared. This will be a great addition to BBF and I can’t wait ‘til you all get a chance to see it.»Read more
As I mention in our end of January update, which should be appearing shortly, my family celebrated Christmas in January this year as we were short of money for the actual holiday.
So what does a Christmas look like at the Mizak gaming house.
Vik's gifts include--Copy of Betrayal on the House on the Hill and the card game Conquest.
Caz's gifts include--Copy of Five Tribes and some sort of video game
TC's gifts include--Copy of Terra Mystica, the expansion for Chrononauts card game and a video game.»Read more
I just wanted to give everyone an update about where we're at with various projects. Some weeks we accomplish quite a bit, while others our projects stall a bit while we deal with real life situations (the only down-side to being a small company). For that reason, rather than weekly, we're going to try to give updates like this on or around the 15th and 30th of every month. This way you'll see what we're up to (in an almost-stalker fashion, really) when we seem like we're not releasing stuff. Since this is the first of this attempt at a committed progress blog, we'll start with an overview of the pans we currently have in the fire. Sorry for the long blog, subsequent ones will be lighter reads.»Read more
Just spent the weekend at Bill's. Since the Logan's moved away from my town we have spent every New Year's Eve at Bill and Steph's place. This year we could not go out on the 31st as I was on call at work, but headed out on the 1st and spent through today, Sunday, playing games, having meetings on DwD business, and spending some time with our families and our patient lovely brides. Setting priorities and skeletal schedules for DwD production.»Read more
I want to take a moment and wish all of you out there a very, very, Merry Christmas. For those of you not of the Christian persuasion I would of course pass along my desire for you to enjoy your Bohdi Day,Hannukah, Pancha Ganapati, or OK those are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head.
The point is, enjoy yourself. Enjoy your families. Reflect on your life and realize the wonder that is lving.
God Bless,
Mark
