For those of you who haven't stumbled across it yet, Goblinoid Games has a nifty retro-clone product called Labyrinth Lord. As near as I can tell, it's a game mechanic clone of the old Moldvay/Cook basic Dungeons & Dragons game, allowing character development from level 1 through level 20 all in one book. I was skeptical at first, but once I got my fancy hardcover book in my hands (lulu takes sooooo long to do hardcovers!) I was amazed at the fun I held in my hands.»Read more
Labyrinth Lord does such a great job of capturing the old gaming feel of the 80's -- especially since it uses the rules from the same game from the 80's!! We at DwD Studios thoroughly enjoy playing the game and have created this great character sheet to help provide the right feel for the game.
This particular sheet is designed for the Advanced Edition Characters version, but can be used in the basic product as well.
All artwork used in this character sheet is in the public domain.»Read more
Anyone going to Gen Con?
Let's hook up!
Ping me here or mention @dwdstuidios @simplymenotu on Twitter.
FYI,
I won't have copies of the Issue 1-6 Star Frontiersman so don't ask. ;-) Next year I'll have them at Origins/GenCon/Con on the Cobb and Another Gaming Convention.
I look forward to meeting you. w00t!
Years ago Bill Logan forged Drama Cards for his Star Frontiers Player's. We found them while looking through his collection of games. What a find!
The cards will appear in Star Frontiersman Issue 15 and as a d100 table on this site (I'm working on it as I type this entry).
Here are a few from the deck.
One of my many FrontierSpace tasks this week is to create images for the vehicle system that represent different sizes for air, land and water modes of transport. Here are two of my early drawings for the "grouncycle".
Check out the Beta version of the vehicle creation tool.
