I'm trying to recreate the characters that we used in our test game, and I can't figure out the Medical Investigator.
First, the Soldier score it 25, and it looks to me like it should be 30 (half of DEX of 60).
Second, there are two level 1 skills, instead of only one. A bone could do that, but there's 3 listed, so that wasn't it. A medic background would do it, except then it should be three, not two, since that gives level on in Academic and Medic, plus the one everyone starts with. That would also increase the LOG score, which isn't the case.
So I'm a little confused as to where that second level 1 skill came from.
Also, the damage listed for the pistol seems to be missing the DEX bonus.
Yeah while creating the Archetype chapter of the new Revised Expanded version, I noted a few omissions like that. For this new version, it's all in one PDF
The Resourceful Scrounger also lists an Unarmed Combat skill of 63%, and it looks like it should be 25%.
that one is a pretty egregious copy and paste error
The Hacker also has an unexplained extra level 1 skill. It's almost like that was used instead of rolling for origin, except it doesn't look like it was done across the board (just on the ones we chose).
For what it's worth, your track record is a lot better than Hero Games. I've never seen a character or spell write up from them than didn't have errors. Ever.
lol.... well, when we made those characters, we sometimes rolled an origin and selected one of the options which gave an extra skill. That might be what happened in this case.
As for the other things you mentioned... yeah, copy paste problems or mistakes made while editing/modifying rules and not going back and updating, etc. Hopefully the new ones will be solid.
In the new revised expanded edition, your agents will begin play with more level 1 skills than in the first edition because of the inclusion of "Training Center" and "Directorate" rules from various published supplemental works.
Attached is a sample of what the new archetypes look like.
Actually, you just cleared up one confusion. I didn't catch that those extras under origins were "choose one," rather than "all these." Which, frankly, was rather dumb on my part.
Depressingly easy to do, when you're doing a bunch of them at the same time.
I've got one player who has said he'll probably start with the archtype he's got now, but we'll still do it over from scratch, just as practice on character generation.
But you can never have too many proofreaders.

Looks interesting. Any idea on the time frame on this?
I have no specific timeline, but the book is 95% written. I'm going through it now only changing some wording. I am still working out one portion of the optional psionics chapter and have to build an index. New cover art is being worked on as I type this. Going for a more movie-poster montage of spy stuff for a cover.
Sounds good. Might be time to buy a copy on paper.
