So over the past couple of weeks I have been fortunate to play two of my all time favorite games, Civilization and Age of Empires III. They are most likely my two favorite, though I wince when I say that since when someone mentions some other game I have forgotten I go, "....damn I really like that one also." But I thought I would make out a list of games and add a little blurb about them, but mostly I am interested in others opinions on their games. I like to see if they agree with me, and to learn of games I have not played yet to see if I would like them.
Favorite game....Old Civilization--6 to 12 HOURS of fun.
Most frustrating game.....Diplomacy--love it, love it, love it, HATE it. (grin)
Favorite game when I was a kid......Gammarauders--still have it still fun, just not quite as much as when I was young.
Worst End Game.....Kingmaker--liked the game but always ended the same. Maybe it was just us.
Just don't understand why others like it....Conquest of Pangea--Bill bought this for me, we played it twice, and just don't get it. Sorry Mr. Orbanes, you even went to Case Western Reserve University like me but still I don't get it.
Game I like that others seem not to......Burn in Hell--Steve Jackson game, have it never get to play it. Maybe I just like the little bios too much, but most of my gaming group does not care for it. though I do think that starting at 100 degrees is too low.
Game I play online I like the most......Castles of Burgundy--Bill has this one on his shelf and we play it often when I go over there, I play it online and really enjoy it there. Unlike some games I don't seem to forget my strategy during the pauses between moves.
OK that is all I can think of for now. Comment on mine, make your own list so I can see, whatever you want.
