Larry was the lead on this project, and he has disappeared. Not sure where he is or why he's off-grid. BBF (one of my favorite passtimes) has stalled during his absence, and if he doesn't come back soon I'll have to start trying to pick up where he left off. So no - nothing planned for BBF at the moment. If Larry isn't back around by January, though, I'll start trying to pick up the slack.
Covert Ops, however, has been undergoing public playtest and is very near ready for release. All the art is in, the books are nearly ready for editing. I'm closing the public playtest at some point in late October. November 1st it goes to editing. If all can be ready in time for a December release then I'll be pleased. Otherwise, it'll come out 1st quarter in 2014.

What's the status of "The Akure Initiative"? Are you still needing a little help to wrap it up?
Yes if you're willing. What I have so far is a good framework, all that's left is the final details... the endgame really. Download what I have so far, read through it, and offer any help you can. If I don't get any help, I'll eventually get it done of course, but I'm focusing on the rest of CO at the moment.

And, of course I have to ask about FrontierSpace.....
As soon as Covert Ops is out, FrontierSpace becomes my primary project (though I'll be multitasking a bit with Covert Ops liter stuff, such as missions and whatnot).
FrontierSpace was huge... still is. However, we put it on hold to consider a liter product. That's when we built BareBones Fantasy - a truly lite game. Covert Ops is still lite (by our internal definition anyway) but some crunch was added where necessary to accommodate the genre. We're hoping Covert Ops is a nice middle ground, a balanced approach. If the mechanics are well-received, I may reduce some of the crunch in FrontierSpace yet more.
Face it, FrontierSpace needs SOME crunch. You can't have a really lite sci fi product that you want taken seriously by ALL gamer types. But if you make it TOO crunchy then you alienate the casual and liter gamers. So I'm aiming for a sweet spot and hoping I hit it.
BareBones Fantasy RPG is not associated with Skaldcrow Games' Bare Bones Multiverse, despite similar names. Check out Glenn's products by clicking here.
