I'm keeping all my GM notes somewhat organized so I can release them in case someone else want's to run the campaign. Or use it as a springboard for their own.
The players are really great! Three of them are even writing in-character journals.

Fantastic stuff! Thanks for sharing, it's very inspiring indeed.
Really love the adventure you're taking these characters on, and just how well covered every area of the campaign seems to be; background, skirmishes, NPCs, moral dilemmas, prizes, the list goes on... I'll definitely be keeping up on this one!

Posted play report 8 in the play reports thread and you'll find several more player journals on the epic words site.
Glad you are liking it. I've beend doing this for over 3 decades and this particular campaign is just really clicking well.
I attribute it to three things: a setting thick with usable lore, awesome character concepts, and an elegant ruleset that is out of the way and lets us play!
2 more play reports posted and two supporting documents. I also added the link to the epic words site so you can read any character journals if you'd like. They are quite good and much better than my play reports.

Oh, nice map! You've been working on this yourself, jasales? I don't think I've seen a decent reference map of Tamriel before... Once again, something I can use!

I used over a dozen maps to come up with this one. I'm using Campaign Cartographer 3. I just need to label it and then it is done. I'd be happy to share the final product with anyone that wants it in PNG or CC3 format.
This weekend I created a better symbol for the Imperial City. The scale of the map was determined after much head scratching, reading arguements on various forums and estimating travel times (based on realworld geography, not the games). It seems reasonable.
Since maps are part art, for travel times estimate the location of cities to be about the center of their symbol. Obviously the symbols take up more land than the city itself would.
I hope to finish the map by the end of September but don't hold me to that. :)
If any of you want to lurk on the Epic Words site so you can see the player journals (I don't know if those are public or not) you are welcome to. Just drop me a line and I'll invite you.
We start up again on the 27th of September.
So far BBF has been terrific for our game. We are adventuring in FREAKING TAMRIEL! I love it!

I do occasionally jump into to track your game progress, but time has become a huge premium. Seems like your group of players is very involved, which is always a great help.

Yes, they are investing some thought into this game. Which makes it much better.
Next session will be on Sept 27th and then every two weeks after that.
Also BareBones Covert Ops/Stargate game will be starting on Sept 29th and running every two weeks. Both games run until June 2014.

Fantastic stuff. (As if I can say anything else positive about your game without sounding like a broken record.) The character Point-of-Views for the journals just makes the world you're all creating come alive a lot more.
Out of interest, how does the BBF system handle adventure intrigue for you? Or rather, how do you handle intrigue with it..?
I'll be doing some of this myself soon - I'm thinking something along the lines of -
- Roleplaying comes first, then when players want to start getting into influencing the world around them:
- WIL = 'Charisma' for getting what you want out of people
- LOG = Connecting the threads together to make leads.
- Leaders can get more information out people, Scholars might see more links in things.
- LOG fills in for plain 'Spot Hidden' or 'Notice' rolls ("You notice a gang tattoo on the NPC's arm just underneath his sleeve," etc)
Anything else..?
Do you run it roughly like this..?
(Oh and don't forget Thief rolls for spies hiding in the nearest wardrobe, obviously...)
If the latter, I have MUCH more material and updates to put in the drop box. Once I clean that up, and I now have time as I just finished my gaming season and have the next three months off, I'll link it in the wiki.

Very good reads! They sound like cool games and cool players!

I've added another play report.
And here is a WIP map.

Yes, very nice job on the map. I would like the final product to add to the rest of the material you have produced.
Thanks for sharing
You got it ShadowStalker!

Yes, this game has great adaptability. Change the name of the skill to fit the setting, add a few subskills to it and go. On the fly goodness.

I posted a new player report and a link to the BBF/Tamriel Player Guide in the Play Reports thread above.
New play report posted.
Playtest 14 posted - this time a dragon hunt!
Play Report 15 posted above.
Play Report 16 posted in the Games Report thread above.
Posted another game report. Up to 20 games now in this setting. BBF rules are rocking the house!
Image on the first page, wow. lol
Yeah, things went to hell. In all ways.
Cocius Mantedius is a pretty good writer. If he writes a book, let us know about it.
Seconded! Great campaign, great players! (Great GM too!)
My Wife (who plays Riala) and I clapped at his last couple of journals. Really great stuff! Oh, and I think Riala will be posting her journal tonight.
Question: Does the Epic Words campaign page automatically update character names as links? If so, that's awesome.
Yes, it auto links any characters, NPCs or any wiki entries that show up in any forum or journal entry automatically.
Epic Words - $12 a year! Fast, Easy, Feature Rich.
Are you using a conversion doc for Tamriel? I would love a BBF conversion doc.
We are trying to keep a list of conversions here, I don't see Jim's conversion :(
Conversions
BareBones Fantasy RPG conversions
Good idea. Is that something I have rights to contribute too?
If so, I'll clean up and add more. I have a dragon's worth of new material to share.
Yes, anyone on this site who has the "Wiki Contributor" role can add to the wiki. Click on "Add child page" under Conversions. :)
Note: If someone does not have this role, ping Bill or I.
Two more game reports put in the Game Reports thread.
Next game is tonight!
New Game report added to the Game Reports Threat. Our heroes made it to the Imperial City, and have begun to become mired in many plots.

Hey Jim, any plan to add this to the WIKI? I have been looking for your documents and am unable to find them.
Are you talking about the Play Reports?
Or are you talking about this? http://dwdstudios.com/node/3444
If the latter, I have MUCH more material and updates to put in the drop box. Once I clean that up, and I now have time as I just finished my gaming season and have the next three months off, I'll link it in the wiki.
I also have three play reports to add.
Thanks, I was thinking about that post, for some reason I could not find it again. Thanks!
