Greetings!
A non-obligatory shout out to Mr Moore & Co for producing an excellent 'light rules' fantasy rpg.
I bought the pdf version a few days ago and have been wonderfully impressed. Very easy to read (and easy to read on my Kindle!) making my bus & train ride to-and-from work a delight. I just can't wait (to be king) to run a few sessions.
Seeking the (perfect key lime pie) lite fantasy rpg I've spread The Good News to my motley gaming crew and encouraged them to shut up and give you (DwD Studios) money. Brilliant stuff!
Almost immediately my crew (demanding curs they be) have been asking if it's possible to apply BareBones Fantasy to the Eberron setting, as it's their favourite place to be TPK'd. I just might indulge them in their request - once we get some basic games under our belt to get a feel for the mechanics.
Seeing the level of creativity, collaboration and supportive community here, I may post some ideas in time to come. Bareberron for now will have to remain a hope and a prayer. Good times ahead!
Right. Time to go entertain myself with the Moral Code system. Totally cruel, totally selfless halfling master blaster here we come...
Cheers and happy gaming :)
BareBones Fantasy RPG is not associated with Skaldcrow Games' Bare Bones Multiverse, despite similar names. Check out Glenn's products by clicking here.
The setting is the setting. Rules should never get in way of a setting. I've used Barebones in the Greyhawk Setting. Anything can be translated.
Good to hear! Where thar's a will, there be a way!
Welcome Kimacus and "as it's their favourite place to be TPK'd" nearly spit up water. lol
Bareberron - I want to get killed in your setting! :-)

Thanks! Sure, when it's up and running, I'll indulge you. The pleasure will be all mine :D
When I get BBF, if I do not use Keranak Kingdoms, my fallback will be the Pathfinder rpg setting, the GURPS Fantasy setting, or one of my own creation.
I think that Ebberron will translate nicely to BBF. Remember, it is best to preserve the feel rather than to recreate the actual rules. Just try to capture the setting tone.
To start a conversion, I would look at recreating some of the main Ebberron archetypes into the BBF system as guidance for skills (i.e., do the current ones work, or do you need some new ones). How would you capture the style of an inquisitor. Someone has done a pretty good start of artificer on the forums. Sentinels are just a mix of Leader and warrior?
Obviously, you also need a quick look at using the enchantment.magic rules for the Dragonmarks.
The additional races that are not in the core BBF book for the most part will be in Flesh and Blood. Kalashtar will take some work, shifters just need a few sentences on how the Transform spell works for them at will (if I dare use that term). Halflings may also need adjustment to fit.
And lots of monster conversions.
Look for Flesh and Blood out soon from DwD. For Shifters use werefolk, changelings=changelings, for Warforged use living constructs, Artificer skill is given a write up. For Kalashtar just tweak slightly humans.
